Aramex

Aramex is a global logistics leader, managing thousands of deliveries daily. I led product design to simplify complex shipping flows for B2C and enterprise users. From shipment creation to last-mile tracking, I designed with speed, scale, and clarity in mind.

Building Logistics Interfaces That Keep Global Deliveries Moving Smoothly Through Thoughtful UX and Real-Time Data®

Delivering simplicity in a complex logistics landscape.

Aramex operates at the intersection of high volume and high stakes. With operations across over 60 countries, they needed tools that simplified shipping, ensured real-time accuracy, and scaled with operational complexity.

My role centred on redesigning core user journeys for shipment creation, tracking, customer communication, and enterprise dashboard reporting. I worked closely with stakeholders across ops, tech, and customer success to align user needs with business priorities.

We replaced clunky systems and redundant workflows with human-centred design, streamlining actions and visualising shipment data in ways that users, whether warehouse staff or clients, could instantly act on.

Problem

Legacy Systems Were Slowing Down Critical Delivery Operations and Customer Support While UX Debt Was Costing Efficiency

Before redesign, Aramex relied on legacy platforms that weren’t built for modern use. Users spent too much time navigating unintuitive shipment creation forms, tracking screens, and fragmented dashboards.

Field teams lacked mobile-friendly access to update delivery statuses or handle exceptions, causing delays and data inconsistencies. Clients had limited visibility into where their shipments were or what actions to take.

There was also no single source of truth — different teams used different tools for the same task. The lack of UX coherence led to bottlenecks across departments, from dispatch to customer care.

Process

Mapping Real-World Shipping Journeys And Designing Modular Interfaces For Speed, Consistency, and Global Scalability

I began by shadowing ops teams in shipping centers and interviewing customer support agents to understand day-to-day frictions. These insights were mapped into complete delivery journey flows — from pickup request to customer delivery confirmation.

Using Figma, I created component-based design systems that ensured consistency across admin, warehouse, and client-facing portals. Each flow was simplified with progressive disclosure — surfacing key data only when needed.

We tested redesigned screens with live users in Dubai, Riyadh, and Cairo to account for regional edge cases. Performance metrics and support ticket reductions guided our iteration cycles, ensuring constant refinement.

Solution

A Smart Logistics Ecosystem That Speeds Up Shipments, Empowers Teams and Delights Clients

We rolled out an improved shipment creation flow that dynamically adjusted based on the type of delivery, customer tier, and location, reducing task time by 45%. Visual indicators and quick actions kept operations fluid.

A new tracking experience offered real-time status updates, map-based progress, and proactive alerts for exceptions, increasing customer transparency and reducing support volume.

With modular dashboards and role-based access control, Aramex teams could now see the data they needed, when they needed it. The platform no longer just supported logistics — it accelerated them.
